WHO WE ARE
Zente is a volunteer organization founded in Sardinia by a group of friends who have gained over a decade of experience in social cooperation, both at local and international level. Zente is the Sardinian word for people, to indicate a plurality of people as it is our association. But it also translates as humanity, which is what we want to support with our projects. The current group of volunteers includes people who live and work between Italy, England and the United States.
The idea that led us to establish the association is simple: we would like to unite the many skills available within the group of volunteers, and dedicate ourselves to supporting and improving the living conditions of disadvantaged and abandoned communities. By capitalizing on what we have learned over the last ten years, we aim to involve local communities by listening to their needs, to carry out cooperation
projects in regions of the world where it is more difficult to find resources, money and professionalism. We are particularly attentive and sensitive to supporting disabilities, education and the creation of structures necessary to overcome isolation and conditions of hardship that make communities and groups isolated.
